I design training programs to match each dog's natural drive, learning style, and personality — because a one-size-fits-all approach doesn't work in the field or at home. Whether you're starting with a pup or fine-tuning a seasoned retriever, I'll help bring out their full potential.

Retriever Program

Three levels of retriever training, each building on the last.

Level 1

Started Retriever

Release on command and retrieve memory bumper/bird to hand.

  • Force fetch
  • 1–2 marks
  • Intro to pile work

Can repeat these retrieves under the conditions of:

  • Gunfire
  • Talking / conversation
Level 2

Advanced Retriever

Release on command and retrieve multiple memory bumpers/birds to hand.

  • 2 marks
  • Pile work
  • Pattern blinds
  • Intro to casting

Can repeat retrieves under the conditions of:

  • Multiple gunfire shots
  • Talking / conversations
Level 3

Finished Retriever

Release on command and retrieve multiple memory and blind bumpers/birds to hand.

  • 2–3 marks
  • Pile work
  • Pattern blinds
  • Casting
  • Cold blinds

Can repeat under the conditions of:

  • Multiple gunfire shots
  • Talking / conversations
  • Honoring other dogs
For the Home

Obedience / Puppy Program

Foundational manners and control for family dogs and young pups.

  • Recall: Obeys when being called
  • Heel walking: On and off leash
  • Heel sit: Sit beside the handler under control
  • Place board: Sit on place board and released on command
  • Kennel: In and out of the kennel on command
